UNIGIS Abschlussarbeiten


Der krönende Abschluss eines UNIGIS MSc Studiums ist sicherlich die Master Thesis. Mit ihr belegen unsere MSc-AbsolventInnen, dass sie den akademischen Grad "Master of Science (Geographical Information Science & Systems)" zu Recht führen.  Im UNIGIS professional Studiengang muss keine Abschlussarbeit verfasst werden. Dennoch nehmen einige Studierende die Möglichkeit war, ein Geoinformatikprojekt durchzuführen und entsprechend zu dokumentieren.

Prozessanalyse zur Migration der Digitalen Stadtgrundkarte Leipzig. Geodatenmodellierung und Geodatenmigration

The city of Leipzig administrates for their 297 km² large metropolitan area spatial datasets on scales ranging from 1:500 to 1:20.000. One of them is the Digital City Base Map (Digitale Stadtgrundkarte), so far integrated with the real estate cadastre system ALK-Grundrissdatei and its SICAD-LM-PRO Software. From 2013 to 2015 the real estate cadastre in Saxony will be migrated to the new system ALKIS. This is accompanied by a centralization of the ALKIS spatial data management und storage by the GeoSN in Dresden. After the ALKIS migration an integrated management of Digital City Base Map and ALKIS primary data is not possible. For the city of Leipzig, it is the question how to proceed further with the Digital City Base Map. Their contents are semantically rich modeled buildings, ur-ban topography in settlement and traffic areas, water bodies, relief and vegetation. The refer-ence scale is 1:1.000. The spatial data capture takes place at 90 % by external surveying ser-vices in event-related continuation mode. The delivery of spatial data is done by web service, WebGIS, raster and vector files. As the new platform of the Digital City Base Map itself a three-tier geographic information system with ArcGIS Desktop, Server and ArcSDE Geodatabase (Oracle DBMS) backend is realized. It is a part of the new SDI-Leipzig. The paper first examines the fundamentals of spatial data modeling, modeling process and spatial data migration. As levels of abstraction the concepts of Three-Schema-Architecture and Model Driven Architecture are applied. In a Computation Independent Model (CIM) the informal aspects of the Digital City Base Map are described. In the following Platform Inde-pendent Model (PIM) a conceptual modeling alias application schema creation is done by using UML. With the Enterprise Architect modeling software and Geodatabase Workspace XML method the deriving of a Platform Specific Model (PSM) and its encoding as spatial database schema and migration target schema is realized. For the semantic geospatial data migration towards the target schema, the FME Desktop software finds application.
